After more than 20 years without the production of vaccines or biological products in Colombia, we are seeking to build the technological and scientific capabilities to transform the country into a hub for science and technology.

To achieve this, in 2024 we inaugurated our vaccine and biologicals production plant, located in Rionegro, Antioquia. In 2025, we began the GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) certification processes with Invima, COFEPRIS, the FDA, and the EMA. The facility includes areas for formulation, filling, finishing, production, and potency testing, as well as a research and development unit. The construction of each phase is guided by ethical and environmental considerations, responsible waste management, and other practices aimed at protecting the environment.

Our production facility will have the capacity to supply not only Colombia but also other countries in the region. We aim to contribute to public health across the globe.

Technology transfer

We partner with pharmaceutical companies in India, the United States, Europe, and Latin America to engage in co-development and technology transfer. Our portfolio includes vaccines from the Expanded Program on Immunization (such as those for influenza, pentavalent, and polio), monoclonal antibodies, gene therapies, and recombinant proteins.
